Ready Go ! Los Angeles River Hot Rod !! |
Back in the 50’s TIME magazine did several features on the Hot Rod culture.
It was an American past time & phenomenon that showcased vibrant, powerful classic cars that competed with their stand out, stylish drivers all across the U.S.

One of the most iconic locations for this four wheeled sport was Southern California ~ specifically Los Angeles.
LA River Classic Cars |
Downtown and the Los Angeles River area were the main spots where these classic cars would compete and the 6th street bridge was the place where the drivers would get together.
American Style, Classic Car Preparation for Hot Race ! |
3rd & Army Apparel was inspired to not only recreate the event but to re-enact the Time Magazine photos taken back in the 50’s.

Thanks to the handful of local enthusiasts, the City of Los Angeles and the photographer Rocco Ceselin for making these historic hot rod moments revealed to our current generation.
I'm being honest. Venice, Italy is one of my favorite
cities in the world. I'm lucky to be born one hour away from it. I spent
most of my life in a small city in Northern Italy and I have visited Venice
many times. Yes, it can be overwhelming, crowded, noisy... sometimes smelly, but
nobody can take away the fact that it is a romantic and very unique place. Everyone should visit.
Last time I really wanted to capture something unique,
different and tell a story of real Venetians. Was this possible with all
the amount of tourists walking around, everywhere ?
I thought this was a challenging task, but I finally decided to
walk away from the crowd and just get lost between Venice and the island of Burano which was a pleasant surprise.
I just wanted to share some of the photos I took that day.

The Queen Mary is such a staple here in Southern California. A beautiful retired ocean liner anchored in Long Beach (www.queenmary.com) that sailed primarily
in the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967.
I always had a dream to do a photo shoot on this iconic ship. It's so majestic and well preserved. You can actually book a room and have a romantic dinner, visit the boat and get "scared" by their ghost stories. I also spent a New Years Eve here once. Very fun !
The occasion happened when the producers of LA HAIR (www.wetv.com/shows/la-hair), a very popular reality show on WE TV, asked me to photograph Kim Kimble's new wig collection. She is most likely one of the most famous hair stylists in Hollywood.
I was very excited to be part of the project. We had a full team of professionals to create something very unique and original.

some of my favorite images from the shoot!
2014 started with an amazing photo shoot for the LA fashion brand 3rd & Army at the iconic Stahl House nestled in the Hollywood Hills.
A shoot to remember !
