This past weekend I attended the Willits Rodeo in the Northern California (CHSRA D2); a first for me to attend such an American tradition.

This unique thing about this particular rodeo is that all the participants were kids! That’s right, little kids, from age 6 to little teenagers! Willits is a small little town north of Napa Valley. Getting to this sleepy little town takes you on a relaxing drive down Highway 101. Once there, I found myself immersed in a very foggy and misty morning that made for a truly surreal atmosphere.

Is the first time also that I trying my new Canon 5D Mark III. It would be interesting to see how it performs with fast moving subjests like horses, running calves and kids riding bulls. I also have a small Leica M6 with some black and white film, hope I got some good shots. The Canon was absolutely flawless. Also the 6FPS totally helped me to capture some great moments. Colors are vibrant and warm.
