Colorfast Malibu Shoot, Fall/Winter 2013 Campaign
As a
photographer, I always love an intense and creative day in Malibu. Last week, I
photographed the Fall/Winter campaign for Colorfast Apparel. We had hoped for a
cloudy day, a rarity in Southern California, but alas this time we got really lucky!
We were blessed to start off the early morning shoot with a foggy haze and ended
the day with sunny skies. Here a behind the scene photo of one of the set ups I
used. Most of the shoot entailed natural light with the precious help of the
California Sunbounce Sun Swatter and Reflectors.
For
most of the shoot I used my new Canon 5D Mark III, which I strongly recommend
for photographers who tend to shoot lifestyle and people in movement. The old
Mark II cannot quite keep up with its old autofocus, even if it can sometimes deliver
very similar quality results to the new Mark III.
My
sincerest thanks to my great assistants, Gianluca and Marco, the awesome
wardrobe stylist, Tiffany Chynel, hair and makeup team via Theresa Huang, and
lastly to Hayley McIntire, the amazing creative director of Colorfast Apparel.
Ciao.
